Hi, I'm Alexander!

I love to cook, but when I do, I make a mess. It used to be that my wife would save me by cleaning up my chaos which was amazing, until one day... pregnant with our first daughter, she wanted nothing to do with the kitchen.

Left to plan, prep, cook and clean on my own, I grew frustrated.

The counters were strewn with ingredients, bowls, jugs, measuring cups and spoons and I could never find the right tool when I needed it. I struggled with prepping and timing and as a result, things would be get burned or overcooked. Then there was the worst part...the clean up.

I'd had enough. I knew there had to be a better way.

First, I discovered Mise en Place

A fancy French term that translates to ‘everything in its place’. It means organizing tools and prepping ingredients up front so everything is ready to go when it’s time to cook.

That helped, but it wasn't enough. I needed a way to stay completely organized, with everything at my fingertips and a simple way to clean up. I looked for a solution, but it didn't exist.

So he had no option. I invented one myself!

After a year of hard work and a lot of sleepless nights, I launched Prepdeck on Indiegogo where I was blown away by the response. Clearly I wasn't the only person with this problem! By the end of the campaign, Prepdeck raised way over his initial goal from 5,000 plus backers!

After the campaign, I decided to focus on Prepdeck full time and since then, I've been fortunate enough to build a world-class team. With their help, Prepdeck has been continuously improved and now, just a few short years later, Prepdeck was named Amazon's 2021 Innovator of the Year, and is helping over 150,000 home cooks to make a meal, not a mess.
